U Drive has divided the type of vehicles in 4 parts. As per your choice, you can hire Youthful Hatchbacks, Distinct Sedans, High-end Sedans and Tough SUVs.

Do I get a driver with the car?
Since it is a Self Drive service, the car doesn't come with a driver. If you need a driver, U Drive will provide drivers at additional cost.

Our vehicles have an All India Permit, so you are free to drive anywhere in India.

Do I have to return the car to the same location where I hired it from?
You must return the car back to the same city you hired it from. Though, you can hand it over to our executive at any location as per your convenience.

U must have either an Indian Driver's License or an International Driver's Permit. Also, it must be an light motor vehicle (car) license.

The minimum reservation period is one day, and the maximum reservation time is one month. You must renew the service package beyond this period of time.

We recommend you to make bookings as early as possible, since the availability of the vehicle may differ on the day you need it.

U Drive accepts credit or debit card payments, cash or through net-banking.

What documents do I need to bring when I pick up a
U Drive vehicle?

You need to bring along your original driver's license, an additional

photo id proof(e.g. passport) and a valid credit or debit card for any incidental charges (e.g. extended reservation, etc.)

What if I need to modify or extend my reservation?

How do I cancel a reservation?

If I cancel my reservation, do I still have to pay?
If you cancel the reservation 24 hours or more before it is scheduled to start, you will receive a refund for the full amount of the reservation. In case, the reservation is cancelled in less than 24 hours before it is scheduled to start, you will be obligated to pay 25% of the full reservation amount.

What happens if I return the car late?
Our vehicles have an AllWe will recommend you to return the car on time. In other case, you must intimate us about the delay at your helpline and you will get a grace period of 3 more hrs to return the car. Late fees will be charged if you are unable to return the car after the grace period. Late fees may vary as per the car's category.

What do I do if I meet an accident in the U Drive vehicle?
Immediately notify us by calling our Helpline and we will help you through the complete process. We will coordinate everything with the police and insurance. Please do not hassle and leave the place until proper support has arrived. You may be required to sign several formality documents associated with the accident.

What do I do if the vehicle breaks down?
Immediately notify us by calling our Helpline and we will send another vehicle to your location. Please do not hassle and leave the place of the breakdown until proper support has arrived.

Who pays for fuel?
Render has to pay for the fuel.

Is there a kilometers limit to how much I can drive?
There are no kilometers limit. We rent out our cars on day basis. You can drive as much as you like during your reservation.

Am I responsible fot parking charges, toll tax and any moving violations?
Yes. You must pay for any of the above incurred during the reservation.

Are there any particular requirements when I drive across a State border?
All the U Drive vehicles contain original copies of the RC Card, Insurance Note, Self-Drive License, and the All India Permit. Still, in case of any incident, please contact us on our helpline and we will get the issue is resolved as soon as possible.
